Israel grants drilling rights in Syria to Murdoch and Rothschild

http://www.craigmurray.org.uk/archives/2013/02/israel-grants-oil-rights-in-syria-to-murdoch-and-roth...

In this case in occupied Syria, the Golan Heights.

Whatever is going on with Syria it has to be viewed with considerable suspicion directed toward all the players- including Russia, Iran, the Gulf Arabs, Israel and her client state, the US. And the EU for their own reasons.

There is a believed to be a lot of gas off the Israeli shore and also off Sinai (an Egypt tie, who knows?), Lebanon and Syria. Syrian gas aside, the gas has to go somewhere and the EU would really love to see a pipeline in their direction that would break the Russian monopoly on their gas supply which they entered into under very disadvantages terms. The pipeline would have to run through Syria.

The Russian base in Syria aside, Russia certainly doesn't want that.

I'm not sure what the Gulf Arabs want but what they don't want is additional power for the Shiite world and Islamic fundamantalism that isn't of their brand.

Israel wants the money and even more than that, a situation where by necessity they become strategically invaluable to NATO.

The Great Game at the highest level. Dunno, the Russians are said to be good at chess, just not sure what they're willing to risk.

I don`t mean to hijack your thread Nox, but if this is "end times" Damacus (Syria) will be a ruinous heap.   Here`s a link to Thumperland http://www.abbaswatchman.com/

more to the game

my narrative was incomplete.

Also bring in Iranian gas and the proposed pipeline through Syria.

An inflammable situation (aargh) although I'll stick with my previous assertion that the US/Israeli/Gulf nexis holds a lot of the trumps in the current hand.

Re: Israel grants drilling rights in Syria to Murdoch and Rothschild

I'll admit to perhaps being a bit alarmist but it does have a bit of a 1914 feel to it- where everybody is playing the same old game that they've been playing for fifity years and all the sudden something goes terribly awry.

Have also sometimes mused over how the Zionists might have miscalculated when they began infection American christianity with eschatalogical fables. It is a tricky business to make people crazy and still keep them on the leash.

Re: Israel grants drilling rights in Syria to Murdoch and Rothschild

It would be an interesting exercise to observe how people would balance their belief in their duty to God in blowing up the world simultaneously with their desire to shut down to government in order to defund Obamacare.

Tough call.

I guess

that they're really not mutually exclusive.

Are you saying you remember what 1914 felt like? Cause I don't trust much of what I read in history books.

Re: Israel grants drilling rights in Syria to Murdoch and Rothschild

Isn't that conundrum precisely what we've been witnessing in the discussions here over the past few days?

Re: Israel grants drilling rights in Syria to Murdoch and Rothschild

isn't it amazing that regardless of what the sacks of excretion you help elect to office, the ones you swore would be the best brightest and most ethical, that you've always got a way to blame it on the thumpers.

Re: Israel grants drilling rights in Syria to Murdoch and Rothschild

It could be argued that they created or forced the creation of the ticket that made for the default winners.  And yeah, on average the 2 on the wininng side are consoderably brighter on average than their unsuccessful opponents were the first go round. And on ethics, it isn't even close on teh second.

The losing VP nominees in both cases assured that.  The first a direct thumper inclusion.  The second a maturated result of the goofy, unholy alliance that nox pointed out so profoundly.
