It shall be Newt!

I woke to the realization that Newt really is going to win in SC and will more than likely take the nomination.

Watching the republican primary stakes has been like watching a train wreck from great distance- sure looks like they're going head on but you think it couldn't possibly be. Uhoh, they're getting closer and they aren't slowing down!

Yeah, talk about turning lemons into lemonade.  The Mormon that`s left in the running isn`t the one with the Big Love problems and Newt spins this to a positive...go figger.

Newt Gingrich will be a trainwreck for the republican party if he gets the nomination. There is no way that most of the independents will ever vote for Gingrich. Half vote for the zero, most of the rest stay home or vote for a third party protest vote.

As bad as Mitt Romney may be, he at least can beat Obama and be the lower of two evils.

You can't say that about Gingrich.

What a disasterous primary season so far.

Tim Pawlenty must be still kicking himself in the rear for dropping out...too bad Tim was not smart enough to talk about bombing Iran to kingdom come and getting the Zionist dollars to flow into his war chest.

Romney is a big government conservative that will drive this country over the cliff at 55MPH instead of Obama's 120. The lesser of 2 evils is still evil.

What do you care.  You are rooting for the socialist, anyway.

Gingrich will cut and gut the pretender like a pro.  Watch Zero refuse to debate the expert and rely only on TV ads to attempt re-election.

"Yeah, talk about turning lemons into lemonade."

Just what I was thinking.   I have to wonder how much the CNN debate that started out with the moderator questioning Newt about his past wife and marriage helped him?

Newt looked dead months ago when he went on vacation and started losing staff members.  Kind of amazing to watch this thing as new leaders and front runners seem to change places every couple of weeks only to get pounded in the polls and then be replaced by another.  Romney's failure to get much above 25% has helped keep the others around.

Re: It shall be Newt!

I believe at most 2% of the delegates have been won on the first three primaries and everyone has bought the MSM propaganda about the nomination already being decided.

    Can someone explain why?

Re: It shall be Newt!

I think Iowa and New Hampshire were a big reason why, John. If Ron Paul could not muster up wins in those states, his campaign does not appear to have legs.

I think Newt will fade away after South Carolina and Mitt will keep picking up the delagates.

But if Newt stays in the race, along with Ron Paul, maybe we get to a smokey room at the end.

And Rick Santorum will be a factor too if he stays in.

Better than reality TV.

Re: It shall be Newt!

I'd predict that of all of the prospective candidates that have been in at one time or another....way back to Pawlenty, and including Buddy Roehmer and Gov. Johnson and Herman Cain......Newt would stand to garner the least popular votes of any, with the possible exeption of Michelle Bachman, in a head to head with Barack Obama.

I/m not sure that the movement voters who are going to get him a bunch of delegates have a clue as to how much this man is truly despised by conservative Democrats, moderate Republicans and independent voters.  How repulsed they are by him.

What a truly putrid man.

No argument on any of that from these quarters.
