Jimmy Carter vs. Bama

Jimmy Carter graduated with distinction from a naval academy and served as an officer without any affirmative action help. Bama won't even show his college transcripts and records.

Jimmy Carter ran a peanut farm. Bama has never run a business unless we count selling drugs as a busness endeavor.

Both are successful authors of liberal slanted books, although no one has suggested that Carter hired a former 60's terrorist as a ghost writer. (Bill Ayers...google it)

Carter won a national election with the same voter demographic that propelled Ronald Wilson Reagan into office. Bama won a national election (twice) with what we have now in America.

All in all, it is hard to suggest that Bama is another Jimmy Carter. Jimmy Carter, as poor a president as you would ever want to inflict on a nation, seems to surpass Bama on virtually every account.

Re: Jimmy Carter vs. Bama

yes , but in retrospect, he should have stayed out of that one and not armed the Taliban with stinger missles. He got on the wrong side of that conflict and helped Osana Bin Ladin.

Why don't you compare Carter, to say Reagan, HW, or Dubya?? All three of the latter, increased the deficit, more than all the Democrats combined!! Nothing partisan about you.

Re: Jimmy Carter vs. Bama

For your information. Russia invaded afghanistan in december of 1979 and left in february of 1989. Jimmy carter was the president during the invasion but reagan was elected in 1980 and took office in January of 1981.

I suspect that most of the arming of the taliban was done during the Reagan era. The same era which they armed Saddam hussein in iraq as an adversary of Iran.

Re: Jimmy Carter vs. Bama

That is what I would have though, Mr. Kraft, but Mr. Bruce is telling us that foreign policy decisions are made by the preceding president.

I.e. We cannot and should not blame the Zero for what is going on now, since its the guys in the state department that Bush Jr. appointed are in charge, and Bama doesn't know what is going on.

Are you arguing that Reagan actually set his own course, and that the senile old coot knew what was going on???

See how nicely I set this trap?

Bruce might be right about Obama. He never even sits in on the national security meetings, he is always too busy on the golf course. He actualy has no idea what is going on. The national security team says we'll just tell the mudda fa to say this and that is his foreign policy. Then the security team all go back to their porn and prostitutes

You need to bone up on 20th Century history.  Hard to believe you were actually witness to any of it by some of your reports of it.

Maybe I've been taking you for older than you actually are.  If so that's even sadder, as you'd have had to bought in to rather than actually surmised some of the garbage you spew on your own.
