Re: Joe Biden

Well, it was Ronald Reagan that I quoted above. I thought people liked him? I thought it was a great speech. Given at Tuskeege in 1987 I think. I was wondering if some folks here might think he was too emotional in a liberal sort of way.

That would be the stance of someone unwilling to listen to a different view point. Alas I'm just not young enough to know everything.

A:  The EPA has gone so far beyond their scope, its downright scary to see so many everyday folks like yourself feel the need to defend them.  (for instance, they beleive our rivers won't be clean until they have LESS contaminants than they did before Iowa was settled(ie:grasslands....now just how the heck do you think we could accomplish that goal??)  Being against the current regime that is the EPA has nothing to do with wanting hazardous wasted dumped where it doesnt belong.  But it is typical govt...once they get the good rules in place, in order for them to seem like they are doing their jobs, they keep creating more rules, usually lacking common sense in the process..

That comment is completely lacking in basis of fact.  Our govt spending is well beyond mere infrastructure....its not the first Trillion or two that is the problem, its the third and fourth trillion we spend that are mostly beyond our income.

Re: Sum it up

Are you freakin' stupid or just hard headed. What did the public know or think when someone told them about computers or the telephone ot electricity or that a peanut could help produce hundreds of different products.  For you gun freaks, what do think people thought when the first idea for a repeating rifle was floated around?  On second thought, just disregard. Your handle says it all.

Re: Sum it up

Solar power will come in a big way before too much longer in the SW.  We have about 330 days of pure sunlight here in the Phoenix area and more and more people are putting solar in every day.  It isn't the magic bullet because it won't do well in the midwest or the NE but unlike you idiots who refuse to do anything unless it is the one cure-all, people here realize that one step at a time will get you there.  Little things combine to make big things but you and your ilk are too stupid/hardheaded to even want to think about it.  That's your problem.
