RIP JD....you're home
was privileged to see Joe Diffie perform to a packed outdoor crowd at Mankato ribfest a couple of years ago, and was amazed at all the songs he sung that I "knew" but didn't know they were his hits. What an epic recording career he had. He gave some commentary on the songs, too and I wish I had ventured up to listen more close by and see the performer.
Eddie Money, Joe Diffie, Kenny Rogers all performed nearby and we were blessed to see in the last few years, and are gone now. Guess that is something we have to get used to, and too many more will leave us too now as we are Living in the time of Corona.
Hope a two disc collection of Joe Diffie hits is put together for us to enjoy. He knew how to hit them out of the park.

Rib fest a great event. Have seen a number of good acts at the park over the years, not just Ribfest. (Do you remember when it was downtown? That got crowded Old Crow Medicine Show my favorite so far. That park is a fabulous public space.
Hopefully RF is held this summer but events keep dropping like flies b
