Just reading the maket page and Marketeye's report.
Sales are reported in the metric as they are sold, transported and used that way in the international markets. That is good. Simple and easy to use measurement.
So my question is why does the US label it a "metric ton" instead of the simpler tonne. Easier to type and easier to understand because you have no risk of confusing it with the old 907kg (2000lb) ton?
