Re: Just so you can't say you didn't know.
could you please show your definition of subsidy?
a lot of Democrat propaganda is just that. you guys claim a thing is something it isn't too often, for example a cut to a beloved Democrat bureaucracy is when the funding you want isn't increased as much as you want. you claim something is a subsidy when it's simply not taxed as much as you'd like.
Democrats have lost their credibility on subjects as far ranging as social security to education, the only answer you ever have is tax, tax, tax and restrict, restrict, restrict.
Where has that gotten the country? Business moving out, almost 50 million on food stamps, youth not finding work, and the next several generations deeply in debt.

Hey Wehav, I imagine they mean "IF the corporations just sat still and got taxed at the 70% level...then THEORETICALLY someone making $50,000/yr would pay $4,000 less in their taxes"...sounds good huh? Fact is there`s nothing stopping them from moving to Canada like Burger King and then they won`t pay a DAMNED thing in taxes here.
Tariffs would solve it, but I don`t hear the Democrats talking about tariffs.
In a global economy you can not suck high corporate taxes out and have cheap shoes and cheap hamburgers, all the while having high minmum wages. Something has to give.

Re: Just so you can't say you didn't know.
Would you admit that there is something wrong when Mitt Romney pays 13% of his income in federal taxes and Joe six pack pays 15% in fica taxes alone. Plus Joe six pack gets to pay ordinary income tax rates on the balance. So joe is perhaps paying 30 or 35% in federal taxes and Multimillionaire Mit is paying a mere 13% in federal taxation.
