Re: Kaepernick

You may sit in protest when Hiillary wins, as is your right.

But I doubt a northern Iowa farmer sitting in his cow lot is going to get much attention.

And please post pics if you do !!  Smiley Very Happy

Re: Kaepernick

North central Iowa farmers are out standing in their fields  🙂

I`m not about making waves, the Kapon is a spoiled egotistical brat...I mean honestly he of all people should pay omage to the "great changes" that now allow him to play games and make a million bucks.  If he plays his cards right after a 5yr career, he could get a cushy job yucking it up Sunday afternoons on ESPN.   Not a bad gig if you can get it...and he doesn`t stand up for the anthem???

Re: Kaepernick

(I guess he did what he thought he had to do, for better or worse. We'll see where it goes, certainly far outside of my control.

But in general it, and BLM for that matter, are inconveniently timed as there is nothing more likely to get white folk to vote for their own destruction faster than the black folks getting uppity.)

One reason that you have to admire Kaepernick is that he is strong in his conviction and had the courage to make this protest statement before he signed his 100 million guaranteed contract.                       What was that, oh wait - nevermind.

Re: Kaepernick

Jackie Robinson, among others in hostory  did similar.

A pretty Lesbian did it yesterday in solidarity.

More will join.

I stood for it at a local rodeo. But I wouldnt advise my kids to feel pressured into  saying pledge of allegiance in school.

Something creeepy about that. ................. North Korean

Re: Kaepernick

I didn't think I was lionizing him in particular.

More than anything my point was the inconvenient timing concerning The Folk and black people not knowing their places.

And, with El Donaldo;s "who me racist?" tour, the opening for people to go for him without feeling too yucky about being yucky.

Re: Kaepernick

They screwed up the country, now they won`t honor the mess they created...lovely, just lovely  Smiley Very Happy    Ironically this old patriot don`t feel much like standing either.

But we agree on the pledge of alligience, it was written by a socialist flag salesman named Francis Bellamy.  That was his scam, he wanted to peddle flags to schools so he concocted some pledge that sounded good and sold alot of flags.  And of course years later Ike added "under God" ...some said because he was freaked out with the aftermath of the Roswell crash, but we won`t go there 😉
