Reuben could take a man out with just one punch....but he never did like to talk about it all that much....it's my work and I do it for the pay, but when its done I just wanna go on my way.
Now he sits like Buddha in a six foot cell....an innocent man, in a living hell.
But he could have been the champion of the world.
Maybe its the sentimental side of me, but stories of wrongful imprisonment get to me....whether its the fictional Andy in Shawshank Redemption, Reuben Hurricane Carter, Myon Burrell, or anyone else. When you see how ugly some people are on the inside, and how much they really want to pull others down to their own twisted level, jury trials really scare me. I know more than once I have said I would take my chances with an honest judge, but those may be scarce these days, too.
