Probably won't have the books or movies written about the episode like the Brits version of heroism, but it seems to me that getting 45000 trapped Kurds off the mountain and to safety is worthy of a kudo or two. But then I imagine that Barry is going to draft a speech soon that tells them "you didn't do that".

I don`t know alot about M.E., Asian or "over there" politics so a wonk like Bruce can probably stomp all over me, but it seems to me like Powell`s "Pottery Barn" doctrine, we broke it so we do have responsibilties over there. 

When Sadam when Gadafi (and they wanted to topple Assad) are removed, something worse always rears it`s ugly head. 

Those "inventors of Algebra and soap" are still living in the middle-ages and feel everyone has to conform to their worship of the darkness or lose their head.  I would have no problem after the $1 Trillion spent "over there" to spend a little more, only this time with orders to shoot to kill.

Hey Chicken###t.  Do a little research or  expand your sources.  They didn't move until the US Dept of Defense moved in to assist and provide cover. That after we'd been supplying considerable food and other humanitarian aid.  I don't know anything about the rag you linked this from, but have to suspect it's on the order of WND or Breitbart.  Or are you simply enthralled with Nova Scotia?

Borass seems to get his panties in a wad everytime someone suggests something different than the official US narrative or main stream media bias. The transformation from a militant hippie that once seduced a naive college coed by telling her about how he blew up the Mankato law enforcement building into an aging hippie with a funny hat cheering on Team Obama and apologizing for every failed initiative would be fodder for one of those shiity movies about late life despair if any of it was interesting. About Schmdit, Greenberg, those types of movies of human angst, and no special Jerry Bruckenheimer effects to give the viewer a little excitement.

I am like you BA, I know next to nothing about the middle east and its history. Never had the luxury of sitting in college elective classes like Rambo during the Vietnam war....I was out of college and earning a paycheck in just over three years while working to pay the bills in the meantime. I do know that if you keep abandoning allies that soon you don't have anyone willing to put their nuts on the line for you. Most of what I know of the area was courtesy of an Iranian friend with way more smarts than any of us here.

I just noticed that the story about the trapped people on the mountain quietly went away, and I googled to find out what had happened. Its not a story that fit the US official narrative at the moment, and that is what we are fed.

Tell me this, Bruce, do you believe the "official" story of the killing of OBL? That everyone in the team Barry cabinet of any import, from Ms. Bigballs Clinton, to Kerry, to Barry...all got together like it was Monday night football with popcorn, chips and coronas, and watched closed circuit TV together?

How about that Captain Phillips rescue? 

A lot of times I think its just one big Truman Show in America right now, and if a narrative fails to fit the official line, it goes away quickly.

More and more, Vladmir Putin looks spot on in his 60 minutes assessment of which country , Russia or America, has the most controlled media.
