Latest poll for whatever it's worth
• Only 30 percent approve of the job Congress is doing, versus 58 percent who disapprove. • Only 37 percent support the health-care reform law, versus 56 percent who oppose. But in terms of repealing it, the verdict is split: 41 percent want to repeal, 44 percent oppose such a move.• Only 37 percent believe the GOP puts forward positive proposals, versus 49 percent who believe the party is primarily interested in criticizing Obama. The president scores far better in this regard—58 percent believe he puts forward positive proposals—but pluralities still doubt he has solutions to key issues facing the country.• A full 66 percent of respondents are satisfied with how Obama has handled the Egypt crisis.
Also shows "head-to-head" what ifs---Obama 11 pts over palin, 2 pts over both Romney and Trump and even with Huckabee.

Re: Latest poll for whatever it's worth
Are you saying that Trump is already polling only two points behind Obama in a head to head race for president? If so that surprises me.

Boy that race card has to be getting worn pretty thin by now.
Speaking of polls I see they have a new poll out where they asked what people thought about our ex-gov Culver and how they rate the job by new Gov. Branstad. It got me thinking we have officially become the nation of polls when we start polling people to get their impression on the job of a politician that has been in office for only five weeks.

I thought it was pretty thin 3 years ago but y'all kept calling everything on here but the N word and I'm sure a lot of you did that off the air. Also I remember polls two years ago on the progress of the 4 week old presidency. What difference does it make ? You folks always say (when a poll doesn't agree with you) that you don't put any stock in polls anyway.

Bart, you sound like Hillary when campaigning in southern black churches.
Please show me where I have made any racist comments about Obama or anyone one else. This is now two posts in a row where you have played the race card when there was not a shred of evidence of any racism. I'm thinking some you guys like the idea of having a black president but not because it shows our country has come so far to over come racism but because you now have a automatic
reply any time someone disagrees with your president or even your party's platform. You simply accuse them of being racist. By that logic one can assume that you and most all dems hated white guys from Texas.
If you want to be taken serious I suggest you only call people racist when they have exhibited racist behavior or comments.
Yes, I think it is silly to to run approval polls on Obama or any politician when they have only been in office for 5 weeks. Kind of like asking a new car owner how well they like their new car a block after leaving the dealer's lot.

Re: Latest poll for whatever it's worth
I thought Obama was a White guy
Besides if congress is polling in the 30+ % favorable that is way way above the Pelosi run congress that never voted or brought a budget resolution up for debate the past 2 years.

Not playing any race card. Just calling it the way I see it. And your response shows just how much you don't know.
