The gunman, identified as 18-year-old Timothy George Simpkins, turned himself in Wednesday afternoon with his attorney.

Arlington police said Simpkins was arrested and charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. They recovered the .45 caliber gun.

"We had some communication with his attorney," said Arlington Police Asst. Chief Kevin Kolbye. "He did report to an attorney he was talking to our homicide detectives he drove him to our police station we took him in to custody."

Simpkins is currently being held in jail on a $75,000 bond. 

The alleged gunman’s family says they are not justifying him bringing a gun but hope the investigation will reveal more about the circumstances. 

Arlington SWAT entered Simpkins’ home hours after police say he shot multiple people at the high school.

The Grand Prairie police chief says the alleged gun the shooter used was found in the street a few miles away from the campus.

44 people shot just this week in Chicago.    You hear that on the news?    Doesn't fit the narrative.  The dangerous in our country are people who go to school board meetings and express their opinions.

The US media is mostly like the old Soviet Union`s "Pravda".   When there`s a school shooting, the parents must be a "Trump supporter" of yawn...  not "news" worthy.

  Making all those racist comments about the alleged shooter and lack of condemnation by "the libs".  A video has emerged showing the "alleged shooter" being very seriously beaten by one of the " alleged victims" moments before the shooting.

  It appears the "alleged shooter" was a victim of persistent violent bullying and violent physical assault left unaddressed by school district personel.

  And now the "alleged victim" likely faces charges himself.

   Beyond that, maybe one of the reasons we don't comment on school shootings is because it seems like there's another school shooting practically every day.  The evidence of an epidemic of gun violence is everywhere, what do you nincompoops suggest we do about it?
