Granted, this is Bartlett who is as establishment as they come. But I've seen the whole thing unfold with my own eyes over the course of a couple of decades. The Orwellians send juice down the wires and into the brains of their victims and pretty soon you get what you'd expect- fried brains.

Oh really?  You better look at your own Democrat cult that gives you guys marching orders everyday to post Alternet links that tell us how "Trump is lying".  Nothing could be further from the truth, finally with Trump there`s a candidate that is saying exactly what those of us in the "fed up wing" of the Republican party have been saying for years.  We`re sick of damned Mexicans, trade deals that screw us to the tune of $700 billion/yr and worthless politicians wanting to take our guns...we`re fed up!

So why do you guys care so much if Trump is the nominee?  You`re gonna vote for Hillary or Bernie even if the Republicans nominated Kasich anyway, right?   Why are you doing us this big "favor" in warning us about Trump and trying to "help" us save our party?

See, I don`t give one crap if the Democrats nominate Hillary or Bernie or the re-thread Joe Biden, I couldn`t care less who you guys nominate because i will vote Republican regardless.   In full disclousure out of the 3 Dems I`d favor Hillary because she`s only just a crook, she`d probably be more apt to leave us alone.  Bernie would cost me the most money.  Biden, I can`t stand the sight of that s.o.b.  ...cocky basterd, I damned near hate him.  So yah, I`d take the crook, Hillary.

The country needs a functioning, countering Republican Party.  The prospect of it imploding shouldn't bring delight to anyone. A little civil war...a notable disagreement is one thing, but what's taking form is a catastrophe.  And very dangerous, seeing who the agreived parties may be,mand how they might be expected to respond.

Thing with the Democrat party, they have a long history of copious numbers of disagreeing factions.  But generally have been able to coalesce over a few core principles. Anything that is written or proposed by right wingers, but one can be sure that at least or close to half of GOP voters buy in.  Not anywhere near to that in the other one.

Ain't gonna happen, as it would marginalize the PTBs in the GOP.  Since the 80s it's been a hostage situation.  Clinton had to govern as one of them.  Obama has more so than anybody would ever admit.

Hillary grew up as a republican, and isn't as whacked out as Obama or Sanders. Joe Biden is too stupid to know what he believes from day to day.

The worst republican would still be recognizable to someone from 30 years ago...most 1980's democrats would not believe what their party now represents if they had not been slow boiled like frogs.

If you gave that speech in a Rotary Club, you would get a standing ovation, that was a good answer Bruce, no kidding.  However it isn`t reality, those sites you frequent the Huff-Po, Media Matters and Alternet they don`t care at all for the survival of the Republican party...they aren`t running down Trump to "save the 2 party system". 

Those sites want the demise of the Republican party totally, they want a 2 party system for "push back" alright, they want the Democrat party to push back against the socialist party and nothing else.

They don't want the demise of the GOP. They and millions of people in both parties want the xenophobia to cease. It's pretty simple.
