Re: Liberal Paradise..

GTO, you are my favorite liberal, I have a soft spot in my heart for you and I`ll tell everyone that.  However, Lawrence O`Donnell is an extreme liberal, he is a socialist and you really need to hear where HE WANTS TO TAKE "his country".

See GTO, the country that you and I enjoyed, got rich, raised a family in....Lawrence O`Donnell does not want!

Good point about relavance, BA

for all of their faults, GTO, Krafty, and Bart actually do want a better America, and one that still exists down the road 50 or 100 years. Sometimes we fail to see that when they support what are, in our opinions, really flawed policies that we tend to see breaking America down. A lot of what goes on , in ther world , is a knee jerk reaction to anything "Republican", and if you could bottle up a new movement without an R name, they might support a lot of common sense changes that actually would bring about a better America. I don't think they hate what are called "Tea party" initiatives as much as the guy that absolutely loves the idea of a bigger govt like Bruce. Bruce will vote for more government programs and spending until he dies and seems to be a lost cause. Nox is more fickle and probably hates the republicans because he equates them with the success of the too big to fail farm entities that have taken over. Reagan promised to get govt out of farming, and look what we have now. So I can sympathize with Nox the most, and would probably have simliar views if I had not grabbed the brass ring myself during the last 30 years and ran with the policies that were there. I am not the dutch boy that attempts to plug a leaky dam by putting his fingers in the cracks. I just got out of the way and got in the boat and ran with the current.

the real dangerous guys are the smart, dyed in the wool communists like Lawrence and Obama, and I honestly believe they should be incarcerated as rabble rousers, right across the hall from Noriega.

You give them too much credit. Karl Marx' ideas ALWAYS fail, but when obtuse people are involved, those ideas WILL ALWAYS be tried. Smiley Sad

No Red, I believe you to be wrong. They want their America and they want me to have their America.

Bart's been told what to do and think his whole life. Don tells us we have to pay our way but it is his kind that has ballooned the past duties into the present debt. Goat??? Well he's, just an, iliterate punk, who has ,a keboard full, of commas

Ccwewe!

But in reality, they have no power. The dangerous ones are those that listen to them....just over half of the voting public

Re: Good point about relavance, BA

Hey Red, here is what I`ll probably never fully understand about the liberal mind is their unconditional trust of government, even with Watergate, Irangate, IRSgate, NSAgate and the bollixing up of healthcare.  I suppose their narrative it "in every case that was Republican`s fault" and they can wrap themselves into a airtight cocoon and just keep turning up the liberal fuel pump until there`s raw fuel squirting out of the exhaust pipe.

Another thing is the liberal "moving the goalposts" Democrats these days think that if 50% +1 of the voters approval of taking the guns away, then the goalposts on the Constitution can be moved and that is fine with them.  The trouble is with society having goalposts 100 yards away one day and maybe 150 yards away a hour later and 75 yards away 2 minutes after that, there is no hope for a civilized society or the Bible for that matter that`s all about Laws written in stone..the Bible does not bend, it`s "goalposts" are driven into the earth with pilings 50 feet deep and those goalposts are the same distance today as they were 2,000 yrs ago.

A real enigma is Don, I imagine that ol` boy played the game well and feathered his nest accordingly, to preserve his empire for his children and grandchilden, he of all people should be tapping on the brakes of liberalism, cause he has alot to lose.

I really can empathize with someone that perhaps was born with at least a silver coated spoon in their mouth, worked hard but because of some bad luck.  Now finds themselves in their 60`s, thinking they`re too old to rebuild, their nest egg gone..they may have no where to turn but to the government.

I guess this is why I kind of rail sometimes too much about America`s loss of good jobs.  Because, if 50%+1 of our country is doing well on their own, then our representative democracy is strong for all of us.  However now 50%+37 seem to have found out how to pick the taxpayer`s pocket for their standard of living.
