To give Lincoln a pass on saying send Blacks back to Africa, that "he was a man of his time". Obama supported a "one man/one woman marriage" Bill Clinton supported "don`t ask, don`t tell" , Hillary supported building a wall on the southern border, Joe Biden among 77 Democrat senator supported the Iraq invasion...that is all examples of "men & women of their times".
They`ve all changed their tunes when politically expedient, they had to do things that now claim they don`t believe, all just to stay in power to do things they now claim to really believe in..that could be a definition of the liberal`s favorite word "hypocrite!", some of you rather call "clever".
I guess if we are to give those in power the best possible excuse for what they`ve previously believed and done, in the future how are we assured that they won`t go hard Marxist communist when politically expedient? And currently claiming to be "progressive" they are merely being "men & women of their time".
