it is an absolute fact that it is very hard to get a conviction on white collar financial crimes (think Rick Scott) if the charges involve anything even remotely complex.

I’m virtually certain the same applies to the court of public opinion.

Hopefully they home in on something that is fairly simple and easy to understand.

Won’t matter to the hard core cult but will for the squishy portion who were just hoping for an easy excuse.

If a police officer had died in the course of an ordinary crime committed by a black person you'd be calling for the death penalty.

It isn't like many of the criminals and mental patients weren't battering cops with fire extinguishers, among many other types of weaponized materiel.
