I suppose I'll get some boo's...but new channel,
MeTv...has older shows...WKRP, Hogens heros,
And others...at least I enjoy and laugh.
I think they even have gunsmoke and others.

Why can't we have show like that....

I watch it and some other similar channels a lot.  It beats the heck out of what freak shows are on NBC, CBS and ABC.

Graphic murders, rapes, drug overdoses, graphic autopsies and a constant effort to disproportionately portray groups.  

Also constantly making out that normal, Christian based people and anybody that isn't a left coast or east coast liberal are toothless, ignorant troglodytes.

It isn’t new. Been around for several yrs. another one that shows a lot old shows is trutv.

I catch Hogan's Hero's a few times a week on MeTV. 

Another good channel is the Inspirational channel, 2 hours of Gunsmoke at 10 & 11 PM that are a lot of older Gunsmoke's that I had not seen before - Festus is in a lot of them pre-deputy.  Have also caught a few Daniel Boone on Saturday's, + a good western movie once in awhile.

Another good one is GRIT TV. A lot of old westerns.

There`s also Antenna TV which has older shows.  I listen to classic rock on the radio and reruns of I Dream of Jeanie when I watch tv....that tells you what time period that I`d RATHER be. 

There are newer good shows like The Goldbergs ...well, it`s about growing up in the 1980`s.   But they tried to bring back MacGyver, don`t know I think it got canceled.  Hollywood has run out of original ideas, Hawaii 5-0.  And I hear they`re bring back Magnum PI with a all Mexican cast...junk junk junk I wouldn`t even give such a show a chance!  

Shows nowadays seem like they have to have a "morality message" ...well a Hollywood approved morality message anyway and that sucks the fun right out of a show.   That`s why tv is mostly crap and we scramble for the better old days.

Loved the old MacGyver, hated the new.  The problem was the new one was a guy that was obnoxiously full of himself while the old one had a guy that was quietly sure of himself.

Hawaii 50 has it's good moments but too much internal drama and phoney mystery.  Favorite guy is the big African American guy and he's the most believable.

With old tv shows, in my opinion on remakes, is just don`t. And that goes for movies and songs too.  I do like Jessica Simpson`s "Take my Breath away" better than the original Berlin and I liked what Kid Rock did with "All Summer Long" combining Werewolves of London and Sweet Home Alabama.  

If artists just weren`t lazy, there are new ideas out there, like The Big Bang Theory and I can`t think of any others off hand 🙂  but basically a movie or a show, we (the viewers) don`t want to be preached to, so entertain us and don`t try to push your liberal social engineering crap down our throats.

Perhaps that 'every man for him/her self' idea, that no one should get help from the rest of humanity?
