Medicade Babies

Wow, 72% of babies born in New Mexico are on Medicaide ....well Libs, there you have your single payer system.   But I will say this isn`t going to get better, I mean these percentages will only go up and that`s with all the abortions.   Those "pulling the wagon" will continue to decide they can`t afford kids and those already on Medicaide will continue to have no incentive to not continue having more.   Why not be a macho stud and have a lot of babies with a lot of different women, if the taxpayers pick up the tab?

CNSNews.com) - In 24 of the nation’s 50 states at least half of the babies born during the latest year on record had their births paid for by Medicaid, according to the Kaiser Family Foundation.

New Mexico led all states with 72 percent of the babies born there in 2015 having their births covered by Medicaid.

Arkansas ranked second with 67 percent; Louisiana ranked third with 65 percent; and three states—Mississippi, Nevada and Wisconsin—tied for fourth place with 64 percent of babies born there covered by Medicaid.

New Hampshire earned the distinction of having the smallest percentage of babies born on Medicaid. In that state, Medicaid paid for the births of only 27 percent of the babies born in 2015.

Virginia and Utah tied for the next to last position, with 31 percent of the babies born on Medicaid.

However, according to KFF, some of the nation’s most populous states shared the distinction of having 50 percent or more of the babies born there born on Medicaid.

In California, Florida and Illinois, for example, 50 percent of all babies were born on Medicaid in the latest year on record.

In New York, 51 percent of the babies were born on Medicaid.

In Ohio, 52 percent of babies were born on Medicaid.

The Kaiser Family Foundation gathered its data on the number of babies born on Medicaid in each state by surveying the state Medicaid directors.

“Medicaid directors were asked to provide the most recent available data on the share of all births in their states that were financed by Medicaid,” said a KFF report.

Re: Medicade Babies

Let that sink in for a minute. In 10 years the dependent
Class will vastly outnumber the working class. Then what. Third world status?? Some seem to want that for this country

Re: Medicade Babies

"Thank you Lord that I am not a sinner such as these."

Maybe you guys can meet up and pin the gold star on each other.

BTW, kids are cheap to cover. The major expenditures in Medicaid are for the disabled and for elderly in nursery homes.

Re: Medicade Babies

That`s exactly what some want.  Notice that the bottom of percentage states with Medicaide babies are Red States that have majorities yet of "trashy ignernt whitefolk".

Re: Medicade Babies

It is still incumbent upon ignernt guntoting whitetrashfolk to accomplish something other than having a billionaire propaganda funded hissy fit.

Re: Medicade Babies

Nox, we were all babies once and if we`re lucky we all grow old (though with the potential future of society I won`t guarantee lucky old people).  But a baby born into medicaide will probably grow old and die into medicaide, unless they win the Powerball Jackpot, clerking at Walmart won`t change their circumstances.

This won`t be sustainable, cradle to grave Medicaide won`t work.

Re: Medicade Babies

Just looking at reality Nox. Yes some definatly are in need. Others abuse the system. This information tells us not all is rosey out in the economy. People need to be lifted out of poverty . Instead of focusing on growing the economy ,the last 8 years was spent on growing dependancy on govt

Re: Medicade Babies

Well, first stop the bleeding, shut off the importation of those with the modus operandi of hatching medicaide babies and kick out those that you can that would potentially have medicaide babies.  See, this is the REAL COST of having our cheaply picked cherries in the store, the REAL COST of getting the pork cheaply butchered.   Instead of US taxpayers picking up this tab, how about Farmer Brown`s cherry orchard and Swift packing plant picking the cost up...after all it`s THEIR cheap labor that`s the expense to us?
