Medicare for all, not free at all
"4.5 million people in the United Kingdom were waiting for specialist treatment as of March 2019 — an increase of 40 percent over the last five years."
In the United Kingdom the average household pays over 5,000 pounds a year to fund the National Health System —that is a 75% increase from two decades ago.
And as usual the answer is more and higher taxes. A 4% tax on every American household to a new 7.5% payroll tax.
Lastly things to remember, anything run by the government is unassailable for redress, anything run by the government rises in cost each year, anything run by the government will deteriorate and not be repaired.

From what I hear insurance rates rise every year too, to help those companies make money for their shareholders.

I'm 100% in favor of Boris selling the NHS to United Health and Merck.

Re: Medicare for all, not free at all
Bernie's M4A proposal would be the largest pay increase for workers in a generation and a boon to the pore GOP hostages stuck in messed up exchanges.
Not that it has a chance of passing, even if he wins. Even 53-55 D senators aren't enough.
But you have to threaten the insurance industry with the death penalty before they'll compromise at all.
The House version of ACA had a public option- the "moderate dems" in the Senate like Lieberman killed it.

Re: Medicare for all, not free at all
Canuck,
You are quite correct. In America one of the greatest, yet quietest attributes of Obamacare was how much it benefited the Obamacare health insurance industry. Since 2010, the Obamacare connected companies of AETNA, UnitedHealth, Cigna, Anthem, and Humana have all strongly outperformed the S&P 500 index. Great news, if you were an investor. Moreover, the Obamacare health insurance performance was even more remarkable given that the S&P index itself was on its own historical tear since March 9, 2009.
Curiously, Barack Obama, Jonathan Gruber, Democrats, and the rest of the MSM/Hollywood power elites have not greatly cared to brag about this extraordinary benefit to the Obamacare investors. I just did, I think.

Pay increase again for government workers maybe, probably. But thousands of others would be out of a job. Then too a rational person who's lived through all the increased costs in America would know that the tax increases will only increase. And that the initial sales pitch of 4% and 7.5% will prove inadequate. What corporation is going to increase pay relative to any supposed savings of not paying for insurance? Coupled with the taxes that the left want's to impose on business and then add in the CONTROL they want to exert, there wouldn't be a savings and for many there won't be a job.

Re: Medicare for all, not free at all
There are a few problems with
Your statement.
First....medicare is not free.
Second...compairing medicare to
National healthcare elsewhere
Is incorrect...their design and
Operation are both different.
Medicare does not limit per se
Procedures, etc.
If you need it, do it...if above
Allowance, your supplement
Pays the differrnce.
Medicare is usually efficient.
It would be interesting to look
At the data, and models, rather
Than the republician know it
Alls.
