This is actually true. This will probably occur during the communist Chinese invasion of Taiwan. Unfortunately, many true Patriots were duped into and pressured into injecting the protein platform and will likewise perish. 
The survivors will have to sort out the resulting chaos and struggle for supremacy. Especially with artificial intelligence robots as killing platforms.
