Minneapolis ordered to refund the police

The city council is made up unanimously of law breakers.

The city of Minneapolis is being legally mandated to hire more cops after a year of rampant looting, rioting, and violent crime in the wake of George Floyd's death.

"So the sad thing is that this got to a judge's desk," Kaardal stated during the interview. "The city council should protect the people, but that's not what the city council wanted. They wanted to fight, fight, fight for defunding the police and getting rid of the police and having less than the legally required police force [...] We had to go to court to get the city, the public officials, to follow the law."

He said that the city leadership's stance had just encouraged more violations of the law and had set an example for the law breakers of the streets. "When the Minneapolis City Council violates the law, it's the wrong kind of example. They should be forcing the law, not violating the law," Kaardal quipped.

Kaardal said that the opposition has any credibility because they weren't following legal procedures with respect to changing the police force. "That's an example for the criminals to follow, not for law-abiding citizens," Kaardal reiterated. "And when the city officials engage in violating the law to reduce the police force, it sends a double message to the bad guys that they can do what they want."

Re: Minneapolis ordered to refund the police

I suspect that Minneapolis will soon discover that money alone will not unring the anti-cop bell their mayor and city council rang all last year. The exact same applies to the increasingly dysfunctional cities of NYC, Washington, DC, Chicago, Portland, San Francisco, Albuquerque, Baltimore, Houston, Los Angeles, Seattle, Atlanta, Philadelphia, St. Louis, Kansas City, Memphis, Compton, New Orleans, Dallas, and Louisville.

For everyone else, just be very thankful today that you neither live, work, nor own personal property in any of the above Democratic Party controlled and not coincidentally, broken metropolises.

[In 2022 & 2024, let’s all resolve to Make Crime Illegal Again!]

Re: Minneapolis ordered to refund the police

Good read. Nice to see citizens attempt to restore the rule of law into MSP.

Kaardal pointed out the circulatory language that the opposition uses to frame defunding the police as "reallocating the police budget."

"This is all sort of wordsmithing. 'We're not talking about defunding the police. We're doing this instead.' Well, show me where this works. Minneapolis is not going to be the guinea pig for this experiment," Kaardal fired back.

Kaardal said in order for the city to move forward, leadership should issue a self-course correction. In other words, city officials need to say, "Oh, we violated the law," Kaardal stated. "We're not going to do that again. We're guilty."

"They're on the wrong side of the question and need to understand that every person in Minneapolis wherever anyone lives, no matter income status, racial group, or whatever, deserves protection. That's the job of the government, and we're not even getting that right in Minneapolis," he concluded.

Small steps, but big ones. At some point maybe we can restore the rule of law to the alphabet agencies and to the executive and federal legislative branches , also. Note how it is the liberals that don't believe in law and order.....most of America realizes this, too.

That's why he wears the ear piece.

Dems do support sucking the heads off of them to get them out of the womb, the most dangerous place in America for kids.

You do know who did and didn’t say it do you not?

It’s best to know that before sloppy attribution

Re: Minneapolis ordered to refund the police

George Soros says it with one million dollars.

George Soros has provided financial support to an organization backing the defund the police movement as violent crimes surge across the country.

The billionaire, who regularly backs Democratic congressional candidates and attorneys general, donated $1 million to the Color Of Change PAC, which calls itself the nation’s largest online racial justice organization, according to records filed with the Federal Election Commission and obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.

The sum was Soros’s largest political donation of the 2021 election cycle and supported the PAC’s efforts to slash police budgets.

“The killings of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor and so many more at the hands of police violence have left us all outraged, but our movement is stronger than ever,” the racial justice organization said in a petition calling for action against police departments.

“Now it’s up to us to hold them [the Minneapolis Police] accountable, push for further systemic changes, and not lose the momentum needed to change the institution of policing forever,” it continued.

“We know that policing doesn't keep us safe, communities do. Policing doesn't lead to thriving communities, investment does,” the petition also said. “We must begin to envision the society that functions for ALL of us and we must begin by divesting from and dismantling the systems that unjustly harm Black people.”

Soros’s donation is the latest in a string of financial contributions toward groups or candidates that advocate for defunding the police or that are soft on crime.
