Raising peoples wages a bit is not taking all you have and divvying it up equally. When have you ever favored a wage increase for labor?
Detroit needs to raise their minimum wage to S15-20/hr so everyone is paying taxes and they can balance their budget. Just think of all of the demand that will draw into the city. So much cash they won't have anything to spend it on.

Re: Mr. Taylor
What do you mean by worked? Does the United states of america work with our capitalist society. Does it work for everybody or just the select few?
Your worshiping at the alter of capitalism and it isn't even mentioned in the constitution or the declaration of independence. The affluent like it because the vast majority pay tribute to the select few. Presently the affluent are trying to take over the country. Infact they beleive they deserve to own it and run it.
What system would christ endorse? Winner take all capitalism or a share a little with the impoverished?
Do you think it is right for full time adults to work for the current minimum wage in this affluent society?

Still refuse to answer my questions? Why would you avoid answering the system you seem to support? Is it because you don't want to admit you are a closet communist?
BTW are you one of the select few? You have said you have prospered under capitalism, yet now you want to stifle those who come up behind you?

Re: Mr. Taylor
BTW you keep using Christ in your examples as if you actually have read the bible. So please enlighten me with your vast knowledge of Christ and bring forth the passages where Christ wanted the Government to take care of people? I believe in the bible I read that Christ wants you to take care of your neighbor. It is your resposibility not the governments. So unless you can come up with those passages leave what you do not know out of it. I doubt you have ever read the bible.

Re: Mr. Taylor
Quite the opposite. I want people to thrive in america. All of them. I want them to have good jobs and make a decent wage so they have funds to invest in themselves and their familys. When the live on substandard wages they have virtually no chance to raise themselves up.
You folks thein most people are over paid and you think minimum wage should not exist. So that Mr. business can hire je sixpack for $1 per hor if that is the market rate.
What you fail to acknowledge that thjere is one thing worse for business than a wage increase. It's consumers with no money to spend.

Because you have taxed them to death for your social programs.
And you still have failed to answer any of my questions.
I think this is just a diversion from the heat you had coming from your gay comment.

Re: Mr. Taylor
The only answer I can see, is to bring back manufacturing, and business.
How will higher taxes, and higher energy rates compete with places like China or Mexico?
One thing that would help, would be that when people bought a new car, they bought one that said 'Made in USA' on the placard, instead of 'Made in Mexico', or some other country.
