Mu variant

and that's not moo.

Appears to escape both the vaccines, current monoclonals and recuperative immunity far better than Delta.

I think the monoclonals- and the vaccines- can be tweeked pretty quickly.

As far as recupertive immunity, well, so much for that herd immunity thingamajiggy. Nice theory, like Marxism and Libertarianism.

Re: Mu variant

Not nearly enough info to suggest how well the current vaccines may fare as far as mitigating severity.

Not that anybody needs any.

Fauci already said it's nothing to worry about.

Re: Mu variant

That's not what he said, tricky boy.

Here's the good news- he says that at least one of the antivirals now in trials looks promising and may get EUP by the end of the year, more possible by the Q1. We may get an effective antiviral.

And the administration has set a goal for a 200 day turnaround for new vaccines from start to full production.

Actual stuf, not trolling.

Re: Mu variant

Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, is keeping an eye on the mu variant of the novel coronavirus — even if it’s not a threat to the United States yet.

Fauci, the White House chief medical adviser, said at a White House press briefing Thursday that the mu variant isn’t something for Americans to worry about yet.

  • “We’re paying attention to it, we take everything like that seriously, but we don’t consider it an immediate threat right now,” Fauci said.

might want to look into

as your taking a booster for each variant.  You'll need a booster for delta, then a new designer one for lambda, and gamma,  next mu.   blasted greeks.  this could be useful to you.
