There being a fairly good number of people who see that as you (and I) do is why Trump won. Had much to do, actually, if you are realistic about Barack Obama being elected. I entrenched as he seemed to be at the time.
Those of us nose holders, who wound up on the losing end, weren’t blind to what we had running at the head of our ticket. But Trump has been a known slime ball all his public life and a manipulator in business and that was hard to go along with. And he is proving out to be every bit as bad as one’s worst suspicions.
And, yeah, if anything comes from this down the road, that being if he doesn’t get us blown to bits, it would hopefully be more accountability and make the voting public do a better job of overall vetting.
