My accountant opinion

Had a call from our accountant this morning and he brought up the 'Tariff Man'.

He is an active Conservative supporter, that is the Conservative party in Canada and Ontario but also the most small 'c' conservative party in Canada too.

He is certainly more conservative leaning than me and we have had friendly discussions about our politicians through the years.

So the key thing he was talking about this morning was your dear leader and his tariffs.  What he wondered is why there is not lots of discussion in your country about your huge deficit. He mentioned how so many are concerned about trade deficits and in economics that is not of concern BUT that big deficit with no effort to get it under control was of great concern to him and what it might do to our economy when it crashes on you.

Canuck, your accountant brings up a good point, you should run all your post's by him before hitting send.  We talked about deficits a lot when Obama was doubling it in his 8 years, nobody seemed to care, kind of hypocritical for them folks to say that it's big deal now.  I guess one big reason why the media talks about tariff's and not the deficit is because the tariff's are Trump's doing; the deficit is the 116th investigative congress' doing.

When china can respect our environmental and intellectual property regulations we can once again do business with them.

Canuck's accountant has a point.  

It's high time we act responsible and stop paying for Canada's and Europes defense costs when we have a mounting debt problem.  Matter of fact, we should demand payment for all past deficiencies on NATO with interest.  

And then we should look at the world aid that we have been paying while borrowing....no more.  We cant afford it if we're having to borrow it at interest.

Then we get into the banksters at the unconstitutional federal reserve.  Congress was given the right to coin money and we don't need to borrow every dollar printed which they make up out of thin air and then charge interest to print money.  The whole thing is a farce.  Which is why a central bank didn't exist at first and was twice removed.

By the way, who owns the bulk of our debt?
