Myth of Republican Racism

https://thehill.com/opinion/campaign/402754-the-myth-of-nixons-southern-strategy

Contrast what Mr. Biden is on record of having said, and his policies with those of President Trump and draw your own conclusions.

Nixon accomplished more in his years to give Blacks an equal opportunity than Democrats had done in hundreds of years.....same with Trump.

Re: Myth of Republican Racism

Democrats have a long and successful history of calling others out for doing what they the Democrats are doing.  It's also true that in most instances the group being attacked is innocent of the charge.

Racism has nothing to do with political parties. Everyone has his own opinion towards everything!

Re: Myth of Republican Racism

Nixon/Rockefeller set off the War on Drugs as a way to keep them penned in after Jim Crow had failed.

That war has failed unless you count it in terms of police and prison budgets.

Re: Myth of Republican Racism

Honestly, I do not understand why people are not willing to accept each other. I can understand racism in Russia, for example. There are very few black people out there. Normally, accepting black people in their communities is hard, as people out there are not used to seeing black people. But I cannot understand racism in USA or Canada. We had Barack Obama as president, Canada had caylan ford. Where is this hatred coming from? Wake up, people! We are all human beings with the same rights with the same abilities!

Re: Myth of Republican Racism

John, this so called "racism" is a construct....something made up to advance a political agenda. Republicans wish to treat everyone equal...you advance or fail based on your abilities and gumption.

Democrats want an entitlement society, and they keep stirring the racism myth to try to advance political causes that do not enjoy widespread support.

Hope this helps.

Re: Myth of Republican Racism

Perhaps Nixon is given too much credit. Starting with Goldwater, it's become a mainstay of GOP politics.
I have yet to read anything by respected historians that concluded otherwise.

Interview with Lee Atwater lays it out.

Racism is the belief that blacks are too stupid to get an ID.

Re: Myth of Republican Racism

Democrats don't want to admit that they are the party of stupid, and a lot of dumb white fooks get disenfranchised too, the more hoops you have to jump through to vote.

It is a whole lot easier to just mfc a few million votes on election night.
