Negotiating the fiscal cliff

Here we are on the eve of the expiring Bush tax cuts and Obama has caved on the tax cuts for everyone over the $250K limit. Now he has agreed to raise it to $400K. Such a wizard of negotiation when all he has to do is nothing. The tax cuts will expire the slate will be clean ready for a new deal. The repubs can then vote FOR tax cuts instead of tax increases. The president will have veto power over any and everything they pass.

Why would he give them anything because they will certainly exploit any advantage they have against him? It's not his job to negotiate. That belongs in the house and senate. His responsibility to to sign or veto. That is it!

Yep, leave the dead weight out of it. He can sign it from Hawaii.

Re: Negotiating the fiscal cliff

He didn't raise jack.  All he did was remove the marriage penalty.  It was proposed as $200,000 for an individual and $250,000 as a joint filing.  All he did was remove the marriage penalty taking it up to $400,000.  It's funny how much he likes the Bush tax cuts now as he's proposed making them permanent for almost everyone.

RE: he was born in Hawaii.

He went to school and did well at columbia university and harvard law school. He entered community service in Chicago in the projects as a community organizer and was elected to the US senate. At about age 50 he was elected to the presidency of the United States. He was abandoned by his father and hismother died young and was reared by his grandparents. From all the challenges he had he has risen to the pinnacle of our democratic republic.

On the other hand, you have a paper route and supposedly know more than he does. The reason he doesn't know everything is because he is no  longer a snot nosed kid with all the answers. Got it?

Re: Negotiating the fiscal cliff

Yeah, then history will call it the "Obama tax cuts" instead of the bush tax cuts.

Re: Negotiating the fiscal cliff

Agree let them expire for everyone and the spending cuts go into affect. Maybe there will be a country left after all this **bleep**.
