Never much cared for Thanksgiving
doesn’t seem quite right to be stuffing yourself silly as an offering of thanks for the abundance we’ve been blessed with.
A Hebrew sort of fasting seems more appropriate as we meditate on the moral compromises we’ve committed on the course to something that is good and noble.

Even if Christmas is a repurposed pagan holiday, the fact that it was chosen as the point on the Christian calendar when we celebrate Christ’s arrival seems much more appropriate for a feast.
