Newt nuetered.

Finally the effervescent Newt has fallen on his sword.  His barby dolled, poker faced wife stood by her man until the very end.  Newt showed his true conservatism by stating Obama is the most left wing POTUS ever. How could a democrat, in one of the most right wing countries ever be perceived to be anything but left wing and dare I say it, Marxist.  Heaven forbid.  Newt twisted the knife just that tiny bit with that statement.

But the good news follows.  He paraded around the US like a dog with two d-cks, dispensing wisdom and financial conservativism like it was on a special at Walmart.  Now we find he has a campaign carcass left with a 4 million dollar debt.  He's the guy you need running the country.  Financed by some Vegas billionaire to be athe WH.  Ooooooooooh, it does my heart good to see the democratic process alive and kicking.

I will be applying for vindication soon with my prediction of Romney being the contender.  I said that 6 months ago but everybody waffled on about this bloke or that bloke but no one would listen to the facts. Even the pensioners like Paul got some support because some wanted anyone but Obama.  Where is the golden clad princess of the Tea Party, Bachman, now.

Now, everyone will bark at me for saying this again but his religion, whether you agree with a cult or not, was important to his win.  He wore it on his sleeve and was not shy to show his wealth.  Something the US voters admire greatly and consequently, here he is today.

So what now?   Here it is and I will challenge you all again.  Obama will win the election marginally and it will be because of some thinking voters will not stand for a religious nutter in the WH.   Of course you will all come back at me with, "he wouldn't know,  I know so much about nothing, blah blah blah"    but I have to add, you heard it here first.  Sometimes you have to put distance between yourself and the fight to see where the punches land.

Re: Newt nuetered.

I am not a Newt or Romney fan but have believed for some time also that Romney would get the bid.

As far as Newt's campaign debt can you name many presidential contenders that don't end up in the red when it's all over.

Hillary had  millions in campaign debt after the 08 election.  Both her and Al Sharpton stiffed many Iowa businesses with unpaid bills after their run for the White House.

Maybe Newt should have tried to work out a deal with another Repub candidate where if he dropped out they would agree to pay off his debt like Vilsack worked out with Hillary Clinton in 08.

I'm curious to hear some examples of how you believe Romney wears his religion on his sleeve.  The only time I see Romney talk about it is when others bring it up as you have repeatedly.  I tend to think just the opposite.  I think he tries to down play his religion since it is not one of the main religions in the US and some folks like you believe it is more of a cult.

Now if you had said Santorum wore his religion on his sleeve I would agree with you 100%.

It still amazes me to hear a man who constantly ridicules and puts down all religions suddenly act as if being a Mormon is now somehow worse then being a Christian as Obama claims to be.  I'm betting if JFK were alive today and running as a Repub for the White House you be saying that Catholicism is now the worst of the worst religions.

My hope has always been for a brokered convention where Ron Paul delegates pull off a miracle.  I realize the chances of this happening are about as good as me winning the lottery considering I never play the lottery.

Re: Newt nuetered.

Dag, I have always been curious how we could have campaign fimace reform when candidates can barrow money. I think a good reform would be no more barrowing.

It doesn't come as a surprise that it is me who is full of me.  Who the bloody hell would you think occupies this space?   I think you had better read my original post, better still, read between the lines and you might grasp the fundamentals.

Let me guess - it was only the democrat party who left a few dogs tied up after the election.  Never happened under the repigs?  No siiiiiiireeee.

I still put down religions because I know it to be totally false.  As for the Mormons jumping on the christianity bandwagon, That is get social acceptability in light of their colourful past and the old multiple marriage love ins.  In fact, it is still going on as we speak so they show all the sincerity of a vegetarian crocodile.

I do not believe catholicism is worst than any of them but at least the catholics have something to show for their entrepreneurial skills.  Make no mistake, Romney might not have bellowed his religion but it is widely discussed outside america.  He is a committed mormon and that will show if he is elected.  Mark my words.  His cronies will line up along the Potomac looking for favours when this happens and he will have no choice but to oblige.  If you lock yourself into a religion, like that cult, he will be too frightened to not oblige with all the threats they issue, like the Scientology mob.

BTW -  If Obama claims to be a christian and obviously with that statement you believe it not be true, do you have any evidence to the contrary.  Or are you still lining up with the birthers and all the other nutters.

On a lighter note.  How's the treatment going mate.  I haven't read an up to date report.  Hope everything is OK>
