Now here's something that really interesting
By adjusting the particle distribution of the barium sulfate in this paint, they were able to make a paint that reflects 98.1% of the incident radiation while still allowing it to emit the infrared radiation from the building below so as to actually cool the building below the temperature of the surrounding area.
Given the fact that electricity demand peaks in summer due to the demand for air conditioning (1/3 to 1/2 higher than other months) this is significant. Now if you could just get the kids to shut the door.

It’s pretty sad, when our Republican bàstàrds here no longer can even let a post like this one go by, without having to inject some BS into it. But, when you’re a Republican Bàstàrd, that’s what you do I guess.
