As you can see from this chart, reagan increased the gnd about 3 trillion dollars.(80s) Bush 1 and Clinton increased it about 2.5 trillion and bush2 increased it about 4.5 trillion and so far Obama has increased it about 3.4. Much of that is a result of the poor economics of the early 2000s but we are spending a lot but I wonder what it would be without the two very costly wars???? Why did you stop with reagan? This country didn't much money in the first 200 years so it isn't very hard to have high numbers now.

Interesting to read the comments.
I don't know what that site is all about but it's a considerably deeper set of better folks whoread and comment here than there.
Oh..now I do...I just now went ahead and looked into it...a sub of the way out winger Bozell's Media Research Center. HA!
Like somebody else said...what if it had been Romney or Hillary or Huckabee or Kucinch...all was set in play 2 months befroe the election. Maybe with no TARP? But, then, no TARP was never an option...for anybody...it was going to happen...just like the Iraq War.
My biggest spin is what would any of this be like, what would "any of it be worth" without the permanent government's discrecionary Iraq War? We'll never know, but it's going to challenge the first wave of western expansion as the seminal event of American history some day.

Doubt he was expecting anything to refute his stats.

Thought that this might be interesting to see the effects of TARP, economic downturn, the wars in Afganistan & Iraq, and Bush's tax cuts. Wait for the graph to show up.

Re: Obama added more to debt than all preceding presidents to Reagan combined
Nice job, problem is, the right wing supporters would rather listen to the lies, rather than the truth.
The truth has been here all along, it has been common knowledge, this is just a hatchet job by the GOP to ruin this President and his campaign promises. They have one BIG problem, he has accomplished more FOR the American people in 24 months than George and the GOP did in 8 years.
