Obama and the evolving thing
Bill Maher says that the republicans objection to Obama's evolving conversion tosupporting gay marriage is that they are not willing to accept the concept of evolution.
Of course the rabid right has to smear Obama because they still think they can make the right hate him more.
BTW health insurance companies are required to spend at least 80% of their premium gross on health care. A product of the new health care bill. Policy holders will soon be recieving checks in the mail and reduced premiums as a result of that bill.
You can mail your thank you to the white house!

Re: Obama and the evolving thing
My Christian high school biology teacher said "evolution means living things change and that is true. Evolution is not a explosion out of nothing creating cells that become fish that become monkeys that become human." That definition of evolution has served me well.

Re: Obama and the evolving thing
I never heard anyone objecting to Obama's evolving stance. Then again, I don't listen to sources I know to be biased windbags.
I have heard a couple comments to the 'timing' of his decision, but wasn't paying much attention to it, so am not sure what they were saying, other than it coincided with the Romney bullying story.
I didn't hear them smearing Obama over it. What were they saying?
I'm willing to bet, that I will not recieve a refund check, nor a lowered premium on the next renewal. Are you willing to take me up on that?

Re: Obama and the evolving thing
I think an evolving opinion is highly likely in most of us. Just as equal rights on race require the evolving of opinion for many of us and political opinion often evolves over time for thoughtful folks. Womens voting rights but equal pay is still lacking support.
The same will happen on gay rights over time but it may take along time. But then a high percentage of the public has moved that way.
So there is hope for you yet BA You will get there if you don't die first!
BTW my college biology professors said Lutherans object the most to the teaching of evolution. But then that was 50 years ago.

Re: Obama and the evolving thing
I thought Kraft-t was referring to the media, not the windbags here. So excuse me, if I misunderstood his comment.
Are you willing to take me up on my bet, on whether or not I get a refund check from my health insurance?

Well if god created the universe and there was no big bang as you believe, What did he use to create it. How can he create it starting with nothing. I await some outrageous tale.

Re: Obama and the evolving thing
You know, I have heard that argument before, and this question was raised:
If God did NOT create the universe, where did everything come from?
(Note, can you tell me where the Bible says no 'big bang' occured? I recall mention of God clapping his hands together. I would think that would make 'a big bang'.)
