It`s just amazing how the Democrats are given a pass for the wars.  When the Dems are cornered with the "Democrats Lied People Died" video that proves Clinton etal wanted to go to war over there before most of us ever heard of George W Bush, Dems say "well if we opposed the war, we would`ve been called cowards".   "That" shows how spineless the Dems are, if they supposedly "knew the war was bad" and send young men and women into the meatgrinder just to avoid being called a "coward" ...that`s beyond ridiculous, but the Dem rank in file believe it, because the LIV get massive amounts of free stuff.

Yes, When I qualified by means of the Army GT score in 1966, I had never heard of MENSA.  It wasn't until craig started bragging about he and his brother being the 6th smartest fellers in MENSA that I looked up the qualifications.  I didn't think I needed to do that at age 65.  You can check the qualifications for yourself and see that the Army GT test is one of the qualifying scores.  I had a 143 and MENSA says if you score 136 on it you are qualified.

As for What Clinton wanted is borne out by the fact that The Project for a New American Century--rumsfeld, crystal, cheney, et al--approached Clinton and attempted to get him to invade Iraq but he refused.  You can look that up also.  Yes, Clinton suspected that saddam had WMDs but he had Bosnia and didn't want any part of the Middle East.

What I think and thought at the time was that we did not need to invade Iraq at that time.  Saddam was bottled up and every move was being watched.  We had a mission which bush told us that our military would chase obl into whichever hole he ran to and either kill or capture him.  That proved to be a little more difficult than bush figured so he went after the thug already chained to a tree because it was easier.  THAT is the only reason I was against the invasion of Iraq at the time it happened.  Honestly, as a retired army NCO, I don't want our troops over there at all.  We are slowly bleeding our youth away in a NO WIN situation.  You can never defeat religious zealots who think that dieing for the cause is a fast ticket to paradise!  However, in order to keep them on the farm and not blowing up our country, we have to spy on them and their contacts in this country.  That calls for outfits like the NSA to look for people who are in contact with the enemy.  You would never know if they got your phone number or even listened in on your phone calls UNLESS you started talking with Sahib about blowing up the White House!  Therefore, you have not lost any liberty!

I think that you are very smart, you should work for 0bama the way you can put the best possible face on every one of 0bama`s failings.  Jay Carney, Donna Brazil and James Carville can`t hold a candle to your creativity.   And your big brass ones, to as a liberal stand up to a fellow liberal, Johnaa does not go unnoticed.

Well, I have been called stupid and ignorant by so many rightwingers on here that I would start out with a sentence like that. Don't be fooled into thinking I am a box of rocks. I don't put TOO much faith in the govt. I only put more faith in a liberal govt than in a conservative one. And especially since seeing the way conservatives have acted the last 13 years!
