He`s certainly setting the table for war, Mitt Romney could`ve never pulled this off, too many in the media would cry "fowl!".   It just makes no sense that Assad would use gas with the entire world watching and he doesn`t have that many friends to begin with.  The whole thing is a Al Quada setup, they`ve done that sort of stuff before. 

I guess UN inspectors weren`t that far away from where the gassing took place, no one in their right mind would do that right under the inspector`s noses.

Russia says the rebels won't let the UN inspectors near the site. And Obama says he has to wait for UN approval, no mention of congress. The precedence was set over libya, will be reinforced over syria, and come to fruition over Israel.

Gee whiz!  I thought you guys were into nation building, free democratic elections, underdogs, etc etc.  America has always gone to the aid of the downtrodden.  You were all for it during the first 8 years of this century but now you don't like it????There isn't any hard proof yet of which side did it but I'm betting on the govt and not the rebels.

I`ve always been against "nation building", I guess a line from the old Dallas tv show "If I gave you power, I gave you Nothing!  Real power is something you take!"- Jock Ewing.  We see this with Israel, the Jews were given a piece of sacred desert and the strings that came with that "gift" have caused them 60 years of having to spill their own blood.

Bush #41 while campaigning in Clear Lake in 2000 talked against "nation building", my Democrat Wife saw him and that`s what she said, I was baling hay that day.  But after 9-11 I can understand the simple need for the sloped foreheaded`s need for revenge, so to appease the masses a simple inexpensive exercise of blowing up tents should`ve been conducted.  A attempt to educate the masses on the expense of war, a $1 fuel tax should`ve been implemented.  That would`ve been our "exit stategy".  We could`ve declared "victory" and been out of there by the 2004 elections.  If they wanted "democracy and nation building" that is up to the citizens.  Just like when we kicked the British out, on our own with a little help from the French, which we more than repaid at Normandy. 

I was for arming the Contras in the communist, Nicaragua, that was perfect send Hassenfus down with guns and wipe out communists that we won`t have to.  God Bless you Ollie North!

But with Libya, Egypt, Syria and I`m sure I`m leaving somebody out, if the Muslim Bros takeover, we will just have another hostile country to deal with over there.  It`s best to **bleep** it in the bud or better yet leave them the hell alone to implode under their own weight.

Sally has the be the poster child for LIV's. Can this character even be for real? I highly doubt that anyone could even hold a job with the government that has that much empty space between the ears.

I would guess that almost half or more of registered republicans had their doubts about Bush Jr.'s "nation building" in the middle east following 9-11. The country should have followed OBL to the ends of the earth, but not with invasions of countries, and spending trillions for what???

If the democrats had produced any meaningful opposition to Iraq, the USA would not have gone in, but you had Kerry, Hillary, etal all cheering and leading the pack, too, trying to see who had the biggest set of testicles.
