Those taxes are NOT federal income taxes and You know it. Joe six pack pays sales taxes and realestate taxes and that does not exempt him from federal income taxes. Why should real estate taxes exempt capital gains taxes or estate taxes. BTW that was really a pitiful argument.

Joe 6 pack doesn't pay taxes on what he uses to make a living. Land is taxes every year you own it, why should it be taxed AGAIN when you die?
