Re: Rev. Patrick J. Mahoney's statement......

“The President again seems to be using ‘prayer and faith’ as a political commodity rather than as sincere held beliefs and values. His prayer vigils are tied to a public relations campaign to influence the public regarding support for ‘Obamacare’ rather than looking to God in humility and seeking His blessing and guidance."

Re: Arrested for praying against Obamacare......

You know hawken that in new york city or Oakland california the Ows protesters were beaten and sprayed with pepper spray and you think your poor little ministers are abused. My goodness those christians are cry babies. You would think they were cast into the lions den.

$100 fine and they probably took that out of the offering tray. And gullible you will toss it in the tray because you got to stand up to that evil Obama.

If you want medicare you have to pay for it like most industrial nations do today. They don't have healthcare bankrupting their citizens. They pay for it and appreciate what it does for them.

In america the private insurance industry charges a high premium for coverage. Then if consumers need to use it the deductable and copay make it unaffordable  even after you have paid those thousands in premiums

The only reason that medicare is having financial difficulty is that some folks don't want to pay. I bet you could pay another percent and could I. You do know that medicare is funded by Fica taxes which is about a 2.5% tax rate. I hope that extra one percent does not break you but most of us could take it in stride.

I buy a supplement for a tidy sum that only pays 20% of a medicare approved claim. The cost of the supplement is more than the medicare premiums. So much for private insurers competing with medicare.

And the Obama plan is for everyone to buy insurance.......or face a fine.

Re: How arrogant of the right

Here`s the dirty secret Schnurrbart, if you have cash and are so inclined you can jew around with your medical bill, much the way you`d haggle on a car purchase.  A doctor CAN refuse Medicare http://www.seniorcorps.org/medicare/can-my-doctor-refuse-to-accept-medicare-coverage/  most probably do accept it as a community service and just like a business taking a 4% hit everytime that you use a credit card, they will take the hit for surety of payment and just jack the cost on all the items in their store.

Re: Rev. Patrick J. Mahoney's statement......

I see that this outfit and the good Rev-uh-rund like to mix it up about ten commandments in the courthouse cases.

There is the smoking gun that it is a christianist group, not christian.

If it was christian it would include if not solely promote the beatitudes in that space.

I wonder who pays the bills for this bunch?

Re: Rev. Patrick J. Mahoney's statement......

The simple truth is that the majority of Americans really don't go to church, either. On a given  autumn Sunday, you will find many more glued to a football game than in the pews of a church. If Obama would get up and say "Guess what folks, I lied, I am a Muslim or Atheist (Take your pick) " and just go about his business of trying to transfer wealth from those making the money to those that want to spend other people's money, I don't think he would even cause a ripple anymore. From the comments of the leftists that frequent this forum, I doubt that it would make a difference. Some would even like him more.

"fighting to save the life of Terry Shiavo".

They're whackjobs but I bet this gig is keeping the Rev-uh-rund in tall cotton.
