The rules of the 2016 and PAST presidential elections has been that the one with the majority of elector votes wins. That was the rules that all the candidates KNEW they would adhere to in the 2016 election, to now say "if the dog didn`t take a crap he would`ve caught the rabbit" is inconsequential after the fact....it`s like saying "maybe I lost playing poker...but boy, if we had been playing Gin Rummy, I would`ve won!" ...well maybe, we don`t know that, because we were playing poker NOT Gin Rummy and if the other player prepared to play Gin Rummy he might`ve won that game as well.
39% of the eligible voters didn`t even participate in the election, so technically no one won the majority of the popular vote. 39% didn`t irrationally hate Trump so badly that they made the effort to vote AGAINST him. Trump played by the rules that were agreed upon BEFORE the campaign and he won period, end of discussion.
