Re: Ok GOP'ers, Conservatives, Tea Partiers, Non-Socialist, Marxist, Communist, Christian Purists
BA - you did fairly well and got specific. You get stars. Not that I agree with it, but you did address the spirit of the post.

Re: Ok GOP'ers, Conservatives, Tea Partiers, Non-Socialist, Marxist, Communist, Christian Purists
I want Obamacare repealed that will save money, lives and create a atmosphere of certainty for business to flourish
You want business to flourish?? You want the insurance companies to own your farm. Because at the rate they are raising premiums, you can't afford them, period.
Bush tax cuts made permanent no more no less for more certainty for investors
Ya', great idea, they have created so many jobs the last 8 years haven't they?!
I want no amnesty for illegals, we can`t afford `em.
If they are put on the tax roles and have to pay tax they would have to pay their own way, helluva lot better than what's happening now.
No one's touched your guns, mute argument.
want don`t ask don`t tell in place, it`s the best we can do living in 2010 Gomorrah.
Bigotry, is alive and well, in the house of BA.
I want only Judges that know the Constitution appointed, the kind that only Republicans appoint. Cut military a little,
Of course you want to keep the Republican judges, they won the election for the Republicans, pure and simple. They should be impeached.
I will agree, with you about the defense budget, though. Cut it by 6 billion, and put in Social Secruity, and Medicare, where if came from in the first place.

Everything needs to be cut. Roll spending back to 08 levels and freeze the budget until it balances. Pass a balanced budget amendment. Cap government spend to a % of GDP. Demand that TARP be repaid. It was suppose to be a loan. As Andy Cummo of New York says, "you have to cut the budget where you spending the money."

A little better 3020. Was that so hard? Rhetoric is just that. Too many GOPers swoon at the magic words....less taxes, less government, less regulation. Bush said all that and where did it get you? Obama? Much of the TARP has that BUSH instituted has been paid back by the way. What is left will probably never be paid back. Blame him on that one.

Re: Ok GOP'ers, Conservatives, Tea Partiers, Non-Socialist, Marxist, Communist, Christian Purists
That`s funny GTO, you went though my talking points pretty well . I`ll just add a couple critques. The jobs that illegals have are by and large paying less than $40k a year at that wage and less you don`t actually pay federal income taxes, if you get the 1040 instruction book and look at "earned income table" you`ll see less than $40k is a net loss, they wouldn`t contribute to LOWERING the national debt. About gun control, Pelosi was interviewed on 60 Minutes after the `08 election and she said she would push for "meaningfull gun control in Obama`s 2nd term" If the economy wasn`t in the toilet I would take her at her word. Why should a small business take on new hires in this environment? They don`t have a clue what kind of new regulation coming out of the EPA, what their tax rate will be, if they have to furnish healthcare at what price. Business needs direction as to what their playing field will be, without it they`ll sit frozen in place. Something we can not afford.

Re: It`s tax on inflation, Don
Absolutely wrong. Government deflated the dollar and gave you record setting low interest rates to invest.
Compare your capital gains to labor's stagnant wages. When they do get a raise it does not match inflation rate and their new dollars gets taxed the same.
You do not deserve millions in capital gains left untaxed. It's somewhat remarkable the feeble excuses people can use to justify that they shouldn't pay taxes. It's not enough that those gains are untaxed for decades, You don't want them taxed at all. I guess you think the working stiffs ought to pay all the taxes.

Re: Ok GOP'ers, Conservatives, Tea Partiers, Non-Socialist, Marxist, Communist, Christian Purists
Less than $40K is "no tax"??? **bleep**, I've been getting screwed for almost 5 years then!!Thanks, I will have to file amended returns for the last 4 years because I make a lot less than $40K a year and pay taxes on it each year. I certainly don't get all of that back that they withhold.
Just looked up $40K in the tax book. These figures are for :single, married joint, married separate, head of house
40,000 40,050 6,194 5,169 6,194 5,406
I would say that $5169 is a pretty healthy tax for a "negative".

Re: Ok GOP'ers, Conservatives, Tea Partiers, Non-Socialist, Marxist, Communist, Christian Purists
Most money is double or triple taxed when you get right down to it. You earn money and pay tax on it. You buy something from someone with part of that money and he pays tax on what he got from you. Anytime someone gets any income, it gets taxed but as you say, there is a very large portion of which is non-taxable. I agree that many of these people seem to think that the money big business has is really theirs and they don't want to lose any of it.

Very Important to understand, Schnurrbart
At $40,000 income a family of 4 is eligible for "earned income credit" $5,000 worth of credit, there for nullifying THE $5,000 IN FEDERAL TAX THE TAX TABLE WOULD SHOW THEY OWE. In your case maybe you made somewhat more, didn`t have 2 dependants, lazy tax fixer outer. So families making less than $40k do very little to service the national debt. I`m not begrudging them, I`m just saying the fact of the way it is. Here`s a link to the table. I know you have a phobia about clicking on other`s links so just google "earned income table" to see for yourself.
