Re: One more thing to challenge your thought processes

There is NO law that says a baker HAS to bake gays a cake BUT there is a law that says he cannot refuse on the basis of their sexual preference!  As for the righties complaining about Christians being persecuted, 3020 and several others make that a daily speech but they NEVER think about how they are actually persecuting gays, poor, and anyone else who is directly opposed to their actions.

Why do you think it is called 'faith' in God, and not 'undeniable proof' in God?

One of the main points of 'faith' is in doing the right thing, even without proof that there is reward for doing so, or punishment for not, instead of just doing what you can get away with.

And that is just the point.

It is only faith a belief in something wih no evidence or proof.

I will stick to proven things.

Canuck, just because you are acerbic, do you not think you are also a "hypocrite"?  Smiley Happy

So, should a Black bakery be forced to cater a ku klux klan cookout?   Should a Jewish funeral home be forced to provide a funeral service for a former nazi prison guard?  Should a attorney that had been raped in the past be forced to represent a pediphile?

See, I believe tolerance is a 2 way street, someone might have the right to prance around naked at a nude beach, but no one should be forced to have to look at something that`s disgusting.

I thought segregation was a thing of the past.

So don't look but do not pass laws that stop others enjoying their lives.

That is it isn't it.

they think they are 'persecuted' because someone points out the ridiculousness of some of their beliefs and then they turn around and try to force others to do as they 'believe' these others should live.

Hypocrite comes to mind.

Pickin` choose pickin` choose.

Canuck, you have a uncanny ability to only acknowledge items that fits your world view, I suppose that is how you get square pegs to fit into round holes.  But there are "African-American bakeries" and here is one   http://www.yelp.com/biz/brown-sugar-bakery-chicago   ...so, should the "Brown Sugar Bakery" in Chicago be forced to bake a cake with Nathan Bedford Forrest likeness on it for a ku klux klan celebration?

If a baker can not refuse then that mean he HAS to bake it. You want to persecute the baker because of his religious beliefs.

You seem to have the 'ability' to see racist things in the smallest item.

Checking your link I see by the comments they seem to specialize in caramel.

Directions
Mix the brown sugar, half-and-half, butter and salt in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Cook while whisking gently for 5 to 7 minutes, until it gets thicker. Add the vanilla and cook another minute to thicken further. Turn off the heat, cool slightly and pour the sauce into a jar. Refrigerate until cold.

If you did any google search at all you will find that Brown Sugar Bakery is owned by an african american lady.
