Re: Pickin` choose pickin` choose.

I do NOT think that the Brown Sugar Bakery should be forced to take the ku klux klan on as a customer.   You Canuck are evading the question, so whose the "racist" now?

Re: The reason behind the challenge

In your defense, you have grown up in nebraska which has deeply colored your opinion.. They didn't have bibles in Iowa when i was a kid so I never have accumulated your level of wisdom.

Re: One more thing to challenge your thought processes

Baking a cake is hardly endorsing their life style. If you were a car dealer and one of your customers had what you call a disgusting lifestyle would you sell him a car?

If you run a bakery and sell cakes and wedding cakes are $200, everyone should be elgible to buy that. cake. I don't want to sell you a cake is discrimination. What would be your purpose? Are you not in business to make money? How do you know what your next customer has done to offend you? Or are you just being a selective **bleep** that wants to make clear how much you despise said individual.

OH Yeah that sounds like a very christian thing to do. A pseudochristian that is.

Re: The reason behind the challenge

So, if you didn't read the Bible, why profess to know what it says?

Also, still waiting on an example of a socialist country, where 'everyone has plenty'.

Re: One more thing to challenge your thought processes

Selling a car to a gay guy or the grand wizard of the kkk, is way different if they walk in as a citizen just to buy a car off the lot.  As long as the the kkk guy doesn't want a custom paint job with burning crosses or the homosexual guy doesn't want murals of penlses painted on their cars, the dealer should have to sell them cars.

A Christian shouldn't have to cater a gay wedding or a black guy shouldn't have to drive out in the woods to cater a kkk event either.

As the old saying goes--"there are more than one way to skin a cat!"  You are still trying to say you don't persecute people YOU think are wrong!

Not wanting to sell a cake, is NOT discrimination.   Not selling them one, would be.   Wanting to have 'thought police' is a very scary proposition.
Besides, I belive I said I'd tell them that my religion teaches that a homosexual lifestyle is wrong, but would bake the cake, if they wanted me to.

However, I also disagree with laws, that micro-manage one's own business.   What ever happened to the right to refuse business to anyone you wish to?

Re: One more thing to challenge your thought processes

No law that says he HAS to bake a cake for a gay wedding, just that he cannot refuse to bake one, out of fear of discrimination?

Dude, isn't that the same thing, for all practical purposes?

And if she is a good business person she would quote them a price above others and make a nice profit from them.
