One thing for sure, trump is really getting desperate.
Trump has again called Governor Kemp of Georgia and demanded that he call a special session of the Legislature and overturn the election. Kemp said that he told trump once again that he has no power to do that and the Legislature has no power to submit an alternate list of electors.
Kathleen Clark, a law professor at Washington University, said that if Trump invoked his federal authority in his conversation Saturday with Kemp, or made the call from the Oval Office, he could have violated criminal provisions of the Hatch Act, which prohibits government officials from political activity in their official capacity.
While the civil penalties of the Hatch Act do not apply to the president, the criminal provisions do, she noted.
You have to wonder what trump could possibly be so afraid of that he can't accept his loss here. I mean, the deaths of hundreds of thousand of Americans caused by his denial of the virus didn't seem to phase him at all.
