Re: Pass words no longer needed

If the county board didn't have passwords, who wiped them?

And secondly, did they use a cloth?

Most importantly, very few things are actually deleted for forever.  And that is actually why these people are sweating bullets.  They got a recent glimpse of that.

The county had an emergency meeting after that was revealed.

This is just beginning.

They could come up with the directory information but not the data in the files If the location where the files were stored was overwritten.   If that area was overwritten they can tell if it was bleachbit.  If it was, thats a whole different level of crime going on.

But yea, they could not delete the files without the passwords unless they were just single user created files.  In fact not much they really could do without superuser privilege.

If you have proof that backs your position you don't destroy the proof.

Sam, you could run circles around me in regards to tech knowledge, and I think you're a straight shooter.

This is a statement from someone that's been labeled one of the best IT defense analysts in the world...

"The image is of all the files that have been UNDELETED. That shows it was recovered by the forensic IT teams. It's not to show us that they were deleted it is to show that they HAVE IT ALL."

It appears more and more that their goose is fully cooked.

Yes, if all they did was delete, but didn't take steps to overwrite, and it wasn't used extensively the data should still be there.

Did you see how CNN tried to lie about those deleted files?

Caught something on those lines, but passed over it.  Being CNN, I just assume most of what they say is false.

Re: Don't believe CNN, how about azcentral?

From : https://www.azcentral.com/story/news/politics/legislature/2021/05/18/arizona-audit-senate-meeting-ma...

The county uses a multi-layered storage system to store its data. Cotton said the county didn't provide an explanation of how that system was structured, making it hard for the auditors to know what settings and configurations to use to make a copy of the county's databases, and to search the databases.

After making the copy, the Senate's contractors saw the missing directory and assumed that it was deleted. It appears the contractors might have just looked in the wrong place.

Why don't you just admit, they don't know what they're doing.
