Pelosi denied Communion

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2022/05/20/pelosi-abortion-archbishop-communion/

The Rev. Salvatore J. Cordileone, the Catholic archbishop of San Francisco, said Friday that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) will be denied the sacrament of Holy Communion because of her vocal support for abortion rights.

The edict from Cordileone, one of the country’s most conservative Catholic leaders, represents an extraordinary rebuke of Pelosi’s Catholic faith, which the 82-year-old speaker frequently invokes when discussing her family, her policies and her politics.

Re: Pelosi denied Communion

BA,

Call me a skeptic, but it only took 49 years since Roe v. Wade for someone (anyone) in the Roman Catholic hierarchy to finally call out one of these many professed Catholic, yet actively pro-abortion politicians.

Better late than never, but a half century in coming? What is going on with that?

Fortunately for the good Cardinal, little boys’ rectums cannot be impregnated.

But for the rest of us, in the words of Earl Butz,  “ you no playa da game, you no maka da rules.”

Re: Pelosi denied Communion

[The San Francisco Examiner's editorial board wrote a scathing rebuke of the city’s archbishop, Salvatore Cordileone, after he announced he would deny Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., Holy Communion, over her staunch support for abortion.

"We repeat the call for Pope Francis to remove him and replace him with a leader who can unify rather than divide. Cordileone’s radical conservative politics might attract more people to the faith in places like Oklahoma or Texas, but his partisan pomposity will win no converts in San Francisco," the editorial board complained.

The Examiner ended their editorial by praising Pelosi's Catholicism, compared to the archbishop's.]

Might wanna put another fire hydrant in front of the archbishop's church cause the liberal rags at the sf chronical along with paddle-pops goons are gonna be putting the memo out to burn it down.
