Re: The difference being

You didn't vote for them but look at California Kraft, Diane Feinstein is as liberal as Steve King is conservative, what about the admitted socialist from Maine or Vermont,(can't remember which sorry).

Nuts on both sides will badmouth the other, but from what I see, one side blames 'Obama' while the other, the GOP in general. However, not too many years ago, one side blamed every comfortable on 'Bush' and the others, Dems in general. Maybe in general, it is the President, who gets attacked more, on a personal basis. I will say, that right now, the right seems more upset in general, than the left

Re: BA Deere

My dad commented to me, that the Hippies were all about freedom, freedom from being told what to do, how to act, dress, or think. Funny thing is, it seems that now that many of them are now in charge, they have become what they fought so hard against in their youth.

Re: Your focus was wrong

I don't believe that there was any time in my lifetime, that the government has tried cutting taxes AND spending. When taxes get cut, but not spending, how can anyone act surprised the debt goes up? Conversely, if one raises spending, without revenue, the debt also goes up. Why is the obvious so hard to see?

Diane Finestein is not Bat crap crazy

And neither is Bernie Sanders IND of Vermont.

What is funny is that you would own the US senate if you hadn't nominated those that are bat crap craxzy. Akin and Murdock. The republican challenger in West Virginia led senator Rockefeller by 4 % but she wasn't conservative enough for the tea baggers. Rockefeller reelected. West Virginia has had democrat senators forever and a day with Robert BYrd in office for over a half century. Baggers couldn't tolerate anyone the least bit cooperative and opted for a more strident candidate.

I have never had a perfect stranger start telling me how bad the repubs are and how great Obama is.  That is the point I am making.  I don'tmean someone walking up to me on the street and start raving.  I mean at a party or, as what happened at our annual family and friends Thanksgivings day gathering.  A guy there whose wife is an associate minister at our church but who I had never seen before was talking to one of my brothers-in-law and I was standing nearby so I walked over to meet the guy and say hello to my b-i-l.  this guy started a rant about Obama and the health care and how many businesses were going to close because of it, blah, blah, blah.  I wouldn't ever do that with a perfect stranger.

There was a lot of this going on four to six years ago with regards to Bush Jr.  This is why McCain didn't have a snowballs chance.  The only difference back then was very few were offended because primarily everyone was upset with Bush Jr. at the time.
