Politics in light of Bible Prophecy
I was talking to the Preacher last night and his upcoming sermon will be on Mathew 10:34...where Jesus said He would not bring peace into the world and would carry a sword.which divides and severs. Mothers and daughters will be divided, fathers and sons divided in some cases, so imagine how there will be a divide in the country if even family members are opposed. The antichrist will be the agent of peace and many will be decieved.

"The salt has become unsalty" Jesus said in Mathew 5:13. To me "salt" is being politically incorrect, when Truth is watered down, then the salt becomes unsalty.

We see this great divide in the country today, manifesting itself especially in politics. I`m in no way equating Donald Trump with the 2nd coming of Christ, however in the divide Hillary Clinton is the evil dark side and has decieved many, perhaps the majority.

So how did you deduce that or is it one of those things that you 'just believe' and all from the great authority of the bible which says many things in many different ways so you can interpret it to suit the purpose at hand even if the interpretation is 180 degrees different from yesterdays interpretation.

Well Canuck, you`re an atheist and a globalist, you deny the Bible and Jesus, you either wittingly or unwittingly support the antichrist. Hillary Clinton seems to appeal to you...you do the math. But if you really know that a "big bang" with no sticks of dynamite, from nothing created the universe and this "fortunate planet" had one cells that turned into fish that sprouted legs that turned into monkeys that turned into people...if you believe that and no God, no morality. Then yes, you might as well live for today, let your kids fend for themselves, because this is all there is.

Re: Politics in light of Bible Prophecy
Well BA you threw a lot of 'stuff' out there but you did not answer the question of how you deduced your supposition or if you 'just believed' it and so claimed it to be true like all those other 'beliefs' you threw up just now.
You know from past threads that I stick to evidence and facts not old tales or claims based on 'just believing' things.

Re: Politics in light of Bible Prophecy
I`m giving out my understanding and opinion, I don`t believe it to be out of line. Political pundits will proclaim that they`ve never seen the country so polarized, Trump is 40% in the polls and Hillary is 45% and they are diameterically opposed in the direction that they want the lead the country. There are packed stadiums to see Donald Trump, while outsides riots or near riots in protest of Trump...I don`t think I`m going out on any limbs here in stating that the country is divided and this is in line with Jesus saying that He didn`t bring peace, but rather division. friend against friend, brother against sister and such.
I`m not saying you have to believe or even read what I write...I would love that as many people as possible be Christian, but ultimately it`s up to each individual person.
But you can not disprove the existence of God, you can twist scientific evidence and misinterpret what some churches say and otherwise mock Christians, but that is in no way proof of what you "just know" another term for your opinion.

Re: Politics in light of Bible Prophecy
As we have for most of the past 2000 years.
Seems to me that a portion of both the Christian and Muslim worlds are amped up over questionable and selective readings of their respective holy books.
I'm a lot more plain vanilla on the topic. I view it as just the typical multi-generational Great Turning. Our problems aren't that great but our capacity to do anything to solve them is nil due to severe and violent polarization.
People who believe that things are so terrible that the end must surely be nigh are very much a part of that.

Re: Politics in light of Bible Prophecy
As long as we are divided and polarized "the end" is not near (I should probably put that in bold caps, because i doubt it sinks in, but whatever 🙂 ) The antichrist is the one that comes in "peacefully and prosperously" , in other words when there`s peace in the Middle East, dogs & cats living together, Dow Index is 50,000...well the guy that will be given the credit for that is the bad guy 🙂
