Re: Bruce and Canuck

I really actually love the heat, if I was the last guy on earth I would head south, because cold and snow=WORK! I do see what you mean the desert heat is a whole new ballgame. The first heart transplant was in South Africa in about `67 under the eeeevvvvil system of apppaartiiieth  Smiley Mad by surgeon Chistiaan Barnard

Re: Bruce and Canuck

You are obviously not very familar with the book at all if you think that the premise has simply to do with latitude.

Wha do ya wanta 3 page

Double spaced book report LoL  Smiley Very Happy Latitude  was what made Whitey so lucky that his crops did well so he could mine iron ore to ...magically make high tempered steel swords and sail on ships that were created out of thin air. To sail to the tropics and steal "cargo" and give the darker, much smarter people diseases. How`s that professor? I got more, but I`m tired.

Re: Prejudice & Racism

There you go again Moll. You couldn't help yourself and couldn't answer nuckies post either but when given the opportunity to chime in and again reveal what a racist pig you are, your bitterness raised its ugly head and whammo.  Gee I love setting you up.

Re: Re:Racism is taught

Same with the New Black Panthers wanting to kill white babies and deny whites any rights - Oh yeah, where's the proof of that?

Re: Prejudice & Racism, BA

next thing you're going to tell us is... the reason they are such good athletes is that the lions caught all the slow ones?

Re: Re:Racism is taught

Well BA, if none of you have said 'all blacks are bad' then it certainly has been alluded to. I think if people read some posts or some posters they would get that impression even if those exact words were not used.

Now I never thought of % of skin pigment in a population. I certainly have been in places where the % was much higher than the 14% in your Waterloo and I never felt unsafe.

Maybe its just the 'neighbourhood'.Smiley Surprised

I can say I had a run in with some 'toughs' when I was still in elementary school and we were visiting a sporting event in a small town nearby. It was not pleasant, I was scared but I did not let it consume my life (BTW those toughs were white)

The rioting pictures and videos I posted in an earlier thread were almost all white skinned people, a number of the 'bad' people had black clothes though. Maybe we should condemn all those who wear black clothes.

And last time I checked it was a part of the backward continent of Africa.

Re: history of iron

I have to jump in here BA because again you have missed the steps of knowledge.

Iron was produced long before Europeans learned about it and used it.

Do a check and you will find it developed and was used in several other places in the world for thousands of years before the knowledge made its way into Europe.

Indeed I have a notion that Africa was one of, if not the first, places to show evidence of steel making.

Re: Bruce and Canuck

From your Wiki link:

Barnard was an outspoken opponent of South Africa's laws of apartheid, and was not afraid to criticize his nation's government, although he had to temper his remarks to some extent in order to travel abroad.[citation needed] Rather than leaving his homeland, he used his fame in order to campaign for a change in the law. After Denise Darvall provided the means for the very first heart transplant, Barnard transplanted her kidney into a 10-year-old coloured boy. The donor for the second heart transplant was also coloured. Christiaan's brother, Dr. Marius Barnard, went into politics, and was elected to the legislature on an anti-apartheid platform. However, Barnard later claimed that the reason he never won the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine was probably because he was a "white South African".[5]
