The outcome strongly suggests that if there was double secret too slick to catch fraud, it was done by Mitch & Co.

Please shoot them first.

Re: If there is a Deep State it's pretty obvious it's headquartered in republican Senate caucus.

In 2016, they went with trump because they realized that none of them could win.  They thought they could control trump but he turned out to be uncontrollable and in words, "unfit and dangerous".    So, they did the next best thing, they rode the trump dragon as far as they could but you better believe they weren't all that happy.  Anybody else notice that the republican Senate sure didn't give trump any help during the campaign?  They knew that they couldn't be seen to be working against trump but they didn't have to really help him either.

And when trump lost, you sure didn't see them complaining too much, either.  The truth is, they're as glad as everybody else to see the back of trump, they just can't be seen to be.

Now the word is, there's a bipartisan group in the Senate who's put together a $1 billion relief bill.  This means that at least some republican senators are ready to talk and vote for a compromise bill.  You're going to see a bill hit President Biden's desk on Jan. 20.

Mnuchin says the IMPOTUS will sign it. Although I could see him throwing a fit and turning over his spaghetti-Os.

Other than the any millions who desperately need extension of benefits I’d love to see that.

Re: The closer it gets to Jan 20, the more dangerous trump will become.

By the time any bill gets to trump's desk, he'll be so wild with rage and revenge that nobody or anything will be safe.  The best we can hope for is a pocket veto where trump just takes no action and let's slide by.  But that's not will happen.  I wouldn't be surprised if trump sets the White House on fire.
