Upon further reflection, Key was a minor bureaucrat of no particular historical importance and a slaveholding racist of his day. But he was deceased before the Civil War, and stringent objection should be reserved for Confederate traitors.

That's enough, but the larger fact is that statues to them are monuments to post-reconstruction white terrorism.

BTW, as far as the national anthem goes, there is the question of the racist lyrics, but also some historical context. Although if you're going to have a national anthem with martial themes it should probably be about wars that we won. The Canadians say they won, which may be debatable, but not sure the US did.

I’m not an idiot.  And I will say otherwise.  The riots were not a result of a political uprising - they were the result of unnecessarily police brutality.  And that affects all political parties.  To say otherwise, you bringing that crap here, makes you ghe idiot....
