Canuck, not once have you or TomX denounced the beating and robbing of a man by 4 thugs while a thug woman is hollering "He voted Trump!  He voted Trump!".  You guys don`t denounce the protests that quickly become riots which are rent-a-mobs that snowball from wannabes.  There is the violence and intolerance.

That is the real blood, kudos to CBS for not burying the story as what often happens.  Imagine the hullabaloo if 4 white hispanic guys beat and robbed a black guy and a white hispanic woman hollered "He voted for Hillary!  He voted for Hillary!"* ??

* I added "for" because I assume white hispanics speak more proper English.

Why would minority students be offended by a border wall, do we assume because they aren`t white that they want open borders?  If you assume that, you must believe that they would also be offended at chanting "No shoplifting!  No murders!  No illegal drug use!".   I guess I`m not that racist to assume that just being someone is a different skin color that they are a criminal.

BA the difference between us is I denounce all violence but I do point out that since one Donald Trump has promoted violence, bigotry and racism violent acts and hate crimes have increased in your country.

Now why would that be unless your new president opened the door for people inclined to judge others by the colour of their skin or where they were born to show their true beilefs of hatred and racism too.

Do you not think that people have a right to protest with the second election in the last 16 years that has been 'won' by a candidate that pollled less than the losing candidate?

All the gerrymandering and vote suppression is making your great democracy a laughing stock.

I disagree that Trump has promoted any of those things, he didn`t take any crap from protesters at his rallies.  What you have to understand is people waited in line in the cold for 4 hours to hear him talk and he was on a tight schedule, for a couple rowdies that disrupt his speech cheats everyone, if they wanted to protest, they can go on the sidewalk where it is their right and no one gets cheated.

I have no problem with peaceful non-violent protests, but it seems they turn violent more often than not.  When Obama won, he had no problem overcoming the electoral system and winning, where were the protesters on the left then on "changing the system"?  Those of us that voted against Obama didn`t like be we accepted his win, we didn`t riot...we were angry but we did no violence, smashing storefront windows and fires and such.  we went to work and got Trump elected.

By the way if you denouce all violence, what do you think of George Soros and funding these rent-a-mobs that are the root of all this violence?

We have a republic, not a democracy, and this fact has existed since the Constitituion was written.  Everyone in politics knows this.  Every political strategist of any sense address the election as a need to carry the Electoral College.

Having people say that they lost the election because they don't like the rules implies they don't know anything about how this country is structured.  The rules are clear.

I personally would suipport a change to direct election of the presidency, but in the meantime it is disingenuous to argue that what people wish for is how we really are.  What we are is well known and clear to all and politicians should proceed with the "what is" and not the "what I wish was".  It's equal for all.

This election was Clinton's to lose and she lost it.  The opporunit was presented to Trump and he said Carpe Diem.

You need to choose a different argument about who was elected president and on what basis.
