It’s never been a bad idea.  It’s just that the stars may never have been aligned quite as they are soon likely to be.

Seldom noted in the discussions is that PR became a Territory through Congressional action. Through passage and signing of a Law.

An effort to make PR and DC States might actually be a valuable tuition free history and civics lesson for a generation that’s been locked out of learning much of any of it by reactionary elements. Incessantly  hammering on instructors, administrators and school boards all over the country over curriculum.

Statehood for Puerto Rico and DC is just a not too clever way of saying you want 4 more liberals in the senate. So, what then would be wrong with making Casper, Wyoming a state and Saskatchewan, Canada a state? ...sauce for the goose.
